• Download update from http://openkm.com/download/okm/OpenKM-6.2.9.zip (eMpg8eIjY5)

• Make a backup!!!

• Before upgrade to version 6.2.9 ensure you do not have any profile with web skin set to test.

• Stop Tomcat

• Run from your preferred SQL client these queries:

MySQL

-- First check if there are pending tasks
select * from OKM_PENDING_TASK;

-- Rename table field
alter table OKM_PENDING_TASK change PTK_PARAM PTK_PARAMS varchar(512);

PostgreSQL

-- First check if there are pending tasks
select * from OKM_PENDING_TASK;

-- Rename table field
-- Also see http://sniptools.com/databases/resize-a-column-in-a-postgresql-table-without-changing-data
alter table OKM_PENDING_TASK rename column PTK_PARAM to PTK_PARAMS;
alter table OKM_PENDING_TASK alter column PTK_PARAMS varchar(512);

• Edit OpenKM.cfg and set hibernate.hbm2ddl to update

• Replace the OpenKM.war

• Review file descriptor limit and, eventually, increase it.

• Start Tomcat again

• Check for database errors:

$ grep "ERROR .*hbm2ddl" $TOMCAT_HOME/logs/catalina.log

• Ensure HTML Editor configuration parameters values are correct: okm_checkin, okm_cancelcheckout, okm_searchDocument, okm_searchFolder, newdocument, codehighlighting, |, bold etc...

• Enjoy OpenKM 6.2.9!

If you have any weird problem try to stop Tomcat, delete these folders:

• $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/OpenKM
• $TOMCAT_HOME/work/Catalina/localhost

And start Tomcat again.

Recommended to clear browser cache and Java Plugin cache
